Darul Arqam uses a curriculum based on the Texas Essentials of Knowledge and Skills (TEKS) directives set by the State of Texas. All textbooks are approved by the Texas Education Agency (TEA). The Arabic curriculum by Arabist Dr. Hosny Kandil is optimized for non-Arabic speakers. Student academic proficiency is regularly measured and charted utilizing the state-mandated TAKS exams, IOWA Test of Basic Skills , as well as the SAT and ACT college entrance exams.
